Rainis

WHAT TRANSFORMS, SHALL REMAIN

The famous Latvian poet Rainis, as if predicting that the boulevard that will once be names after him will experience changes after many decades, once said "what transforms, shall remain". This is exactly how the building at 27 Raiņa Boulevard is transforming. The building is being restored by One Development, with a desire to breathe new life into this historic heritage. As a result of the renovation, anyone will have the unique opportunity to live at an address that would otherwise be close to impossible to obtain. There are almost no residential buildings on Raiņa Boulevard with apartments for rent. The French, Georgian and German Embassies have found their homes next door, beside the main building of the University of Latvia, as well as a hotel; there are almost no residential buildings in the area, which makes it not only a unique location but also a matchless opportunity. For those who enjoy cultural life, this building will be a real treat - the Latvian National Opera is only a few steps away, but the city's Old Town can almost be seen through the window.
“Nowadays, there aren't buildings being built that somebody will choose to renovate in a 100 years. But there are several historic buildings in Riga that can and should be reconstructed and renovated today, One Development is convinced of that

Friedrich Baumanis

Friedrich Baumanis
Architect

Jānis Friedrich Baumanis was not only the first academically educated Latvian architect, but also designed more than 160 buildings in Riga, many of which are truly remarkable, such as the main building of the University of Latvia, the Regional Court building and the Riga Circus building.

THIS BEAUTIFUL BUILDING WAS DESIGNED BY ARCHITECT JĀNIS FRIEDRICH BAUMANIS

he facades of the buildings designed by the architect Jānis Friedrich Baumanis have always been worthy of admiration. The building at 27 Raiņa Boulevard is no exception. Baumanis has used both Renaissance and Classicism stylized details in the eclectic design of the building facades, which can also be seen in the outlines of the building. When restoring the building, the company One Development will preserve the historical details designed by the architect, but at the same time will offer the residents of the house a modern, clean and laconic interior through incorporated shapes and colors. The building at 27 Raiņa Boulevard is a building with a story. For almost 150 years since the building was built, it has withstood various historical events, a quiet observer of cultural life and following the twists and turns of human destiny. Now it's ready to see your story and participate in shaping it. The only question is, what will your story be?

THIS BUILDING HAS ALWAYS BEEN LOCATED IN AN ARISTOCRATIC AREA

Although the building was built in 1874 on what was then called Troņmantinieka Boulevard, in 1920, the street was renamed to Raiņa Boulevard, marking the return of poet Rainis and Aspazija to Latvia. Aspazijas Boulevard lies close by, symbolizing the life-long union of the two most outstanding Latvian poets.
